Ergo at Work enables companies to keep staff comfortable and productive by optimising the fit between them and their workplace.

We can achieve this by offering a full range of Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Consultancy services and Training courses undertaken by our highly qualified and widely experienced staff.

We have been developing, refining and delivering ergonomic programmes in London and the South East for more than 15 years.

All ergonomic consultants at Ergo at Work are Chartered Physiotherapists with post graduate qualifications in Ergonomics. This dual qualification enables our consultants to not only identify potential risks and hazards in the workplace but also educate workers on optimal working postures, biomechanics and techniques in order to prevent injury. We ensure that workers understand the need for posture change and movement during the day.

Our wide ranging experience has allowed us to help clients as diverse as global oil companies and internet moguls to IT startups and charities.

What is ergonomics

Ergonomics refers to the interaction of the worker, work equipment, and work tasks. Ergonomic evaluations focus on careful analysis of how tasks are performed, the tools used to perform them and the work environment to determine the safest, most efficient way for the worker to perform their work.

What are Repetitive Strain Injuries

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is a condition that can affect muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and nerves usually due to excessive or prolonged exposure to forceful or repetitive movements such as typing or gripping a mouse. As Chartered Physiotherapists we are very experienced in the assessment, treatment and management of these disorders.

Employers are increasingly asking staff to work from home in response to Public Heath advice regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus).

It is important to note that employers are responsible for an employee’s health, safety and welfare so far as is reasonably practicable.
Many employees will be used to working from a laptop for short periods at home but most are not setup to work comfortably or safely for full working days.
Ergo at Work Ltd can offer remote home workstation assessments and advice on working from home in order to prevent work related discomfort and support those who may have pre-existing injuries.

Moving Office?

Moving to new premises or upgrading current premises provides an ideal opportunity for employers to create a working environment that works both ergonomically and aesthetically. We can work with designers to help to advise on the purchase and installation of new furniture and equipment. In addition where applicable, we may suggest ways of remodelling existing layouts and recycling/reusing equipment.

Where we work

Ergo at Work mainly provides ergonomic services in London, Surrey & South East England, but we have also been known to travel nationwide and internationally in order to service our clients needs.
