Who are Ergo at Work?

We are a team of Chartered Physiotherapists each with over 15 years of clinical experience who also have post graduate qualifications and extensive experience in undertaking Ergonomic Workstation Assessments and providing workplace Health, Safety and Wellness training.

In 2003, we began providing Physiotherapy and Ergonomic Consultancy services from three central London clinics as well as on-site clinics within various London based companies. In 2012 we decided to separate the ergonomic side of the business and Ergo at Work Ltd. was formed. Our mission is to provide comprehensive Ergonomic services by highly skilled and knowledgeable Chartered Physiotherapists.

What we do

We have undertaken ergonomic workstation assessments and trained thousands of workers from the world’s largest internet search engine company to individual home office workers. We focus on improving a worker’s comfort and wellbeing at their workstation so that they can feel happier and more productive.

As clinical practitioners, we would often find it frustrating to have “cured” someone following physiotherapy treatment only for them to be sent back into a workplace that was not optimal and eventually recreated the same injury.  Our aim is to help companies prevent workplace injuries by educating employers and employees on optimal workplace design, equipment, working practices, techniques, and postures.

We are Independent

Importantly, we are not affiliated with any companies who sell or distribute ergonomic products. As such we can offer independent unbiased advice.

Some of our clients

Sony Pictures Entertainment

Ergo at Work has developed SPE’s UK comprehensive ergonomic programme. We deliver and manage face to face and remote workstation assessments which may be preventative in nature or for individuals with discomfort. We also undertake maternity assessments for expectant mothers and return to work assessments.

In addition, we also assist in the procurement of appropriate ergonomic equipment and furniture.

Google

We support Google’s global ergonomic programme in the UK by providing face to face office ergonomic workstation assessments. The assessments may be undertaken to prevent injury or to help a worker who is experiencing work-related discomfort to be more comfortable and productive at work. Assessments may also be undertaken to help a worker return to work following time off. We also provide risk assessments for expectant mothers.

Chevron

We manage Chevron’s global ergonomic programme in the UK and Europe working alongside their Health and Medical Department. Chevron uses third party software to train and educate workers on workstation set-up and injury prevention. Workers who are identified as of being at risk of developing discomfort are then followed up by Ergo at Work to ensure that risk levels are reduced as far as reasonably practicable. In addition, we provide ‘walk-bys’ for individuals needing a quick check of their workstation e.g. following a desk move, or who may require new equipment to ensure that it is suitable.

Ergo at Work also assists in on-site Health and Wellness events as well as providing seminars and webinars on various health related topics.

Macmillan Publishing

Ergo at Work undertakes face to face and remote comprehensive workstation assessments for employees with discomfort as well as maternity assessments. We also assist in the procurement of appropriate ergonomic equipment and furniture.

PayPal

We also assist in the procurement of appropriate ergonomic equipment and furniture.
